Former acting FEMA administrator David Richardson joins John Solomon on Just the News

Richardson ran FEMA when the Guadalupe rose 26 feet in 45 minutes on 4 July 2025. On the show he makes two points. Flood maps and the National Flood Insurance Program put people in the floodplain. Subsidized premiums and outdated maps tell builders and buyers the risk is lower than it is. The statute never says “help.” The mission statement does. That one word built the gravy train. FEMA should stop talking about the things it wants to do and only do the things it has to do. Line the org chart up with the law. Cut what the statute does not require.
